Coursera is the world’s learning platform, and we’re here to help you transform your workforce with cutting edge skills in the most in-demand disciplines. We know that a strong communication plan to engage employees in learning is critical and we often hear from our customers that this is a priority, but also a challenge.
To help address this, we have created recommended messaging around how your organization can reach out to learners regarding the availability of projects on your platform.
Hello [your institution] learners,
Last year, Coursera acquired Rhyme, an online platform for both taking and creating hands-on projects. We’re excited to share that Coursera has a new type of short-form, guided learning course to give you real-world practice applying your skills: Rhyme projects (beta). These hour-long, interactive projects can help you master tools and techniques. You can work at your own pace and get started instantly — no need to download or install software.
There are 30 projects available, primarily in Machine Learning, and we’ve picked out these beginner-level ones that everyone can access and start developing skills. Starting on February 25th, you can find and enroll in projects:
- Visualizing Citi Bike Trips with Tableau
- Image Classification with TensorFlow
- Predicting House Prices with Regression
- Visual Machine Learning with Yellowbrick
- Image Compression with K-Means Clustering
If you have more advanced skills in machine learning, check out these projects today:
- Neural Style Transfer (TensorFlow - advanced)
- Image Noise Reduction with Autoencoders (TensorFlow - advanced)
This is what the projects will look like in a collection:
