Coursera for Business is kicking off the year with new capabilities that will help you plan your learning strategies, better understand your learners, and maximize the value of your learning purchase. We will be releasing the following features beginning in March and through April:
Manage your Programs
*For Enterprise customers
Create and manage Collections within your Learning Program. With the new Collections tool, you can organize courses into groups that align with your training objectives. Help learners discover content that’s organized by subject area or topic. You will be able to access this functionality through the Curriculum tab of the Program Settings. For a tutorial, access the help topic here.
Set course limits by Program. Within your Program settings, you will be able to set the maximum number of courses that a learner can take per program.
Utilization dashboard — now for Unlimited licenses
*For Enterprise customers
Understand the full picture of your learning efforts for Unlimited licenses. With this new release, you can view relevant statistics on whether your employee base is fully taking advantage of the Coursera platform. With this new dashboard, utilization is be measured as employees who register, join, and enroll in at least one course.
A help topic with more details will be posted once this feature is live.
Send unlimited invitations
*For Enterprise customers
Get the most out of your purchase. Previously, admins were only able to invite as many people as they had licenses or enrollments purchased. Starting this month, we will remove the “cap” on invitations, allowing admins to send as many invitations as they need to fill seats and/or use their enrollments.
This feature is available on an opt-in basis. Please contact your customer success manager to learn more and send in a request to enable this feature.
Industry Trends Dashboard (Beta)
*For Enterprise customers
Track what topics your industry cares about. At Coursera, we have insights from 38 million learners and 1,700 companies to help our customers understand the skills of tomorrow—and how their competitors are investing in those skills. To help you improve how you target learning interventions, we’ve released the Industry Trends dashboard (Beta). This feature will allow you to see industry trends for domains and competencies based on year-on-year enrollment data across industries, geographies and company sizes.
Learner experience improvements
*For all customers
Starting in March and continuing into April, some learners will begin seeing new features that will improve their browsing and enrollment experience. Changes rolled out throughout the period will include:
- Improved discoverability with a drop-down menu next to the search bar
- Improved UX to help learners understand what courses they are enrolled in, including using a tabbed experience to separate a learner’s current courses from the whole Program catalog
- Improved UX to display Collections titles above the course tiles (Enterprise plan customers only)
- Smarter course recommendations for learners with open catalog access
There will be no change to the administration experience and none of your curations or program content will be affected. If you have a question in the meantime, please let your customer success manager know.
Thank you again for supporting Coursera for Business.
