Navigating languages can be difficult. To democratize opportunities for Arabic-speaking learners, we launched Arabic right-to-left functionalities in April 2021 that make navigating Coursera in Arabic a seamless experience.
There are more than 400 million Arabic speakers in the world today. There’s equal opportunity for them to now participate in Coursera’s offerings including homepage, search/browse, assessments, grades, notes, transcripts, and e-mails.
We rolled out our beta earlier this year in anticipation of growing needs in the Middle East and North Africa region as Arabic is the fifth most spoken language after Chinese, Spanish, English, and Hindi.
